2018 Ford Explorer XLT

in Sudbury

This 2018 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD, equipped with the 3.5L V6 TiVCT engine and Equipment Group 201A, is safety certified with fresh front and rear brakes, and comes with navigation, premium audio, and keyless entry with push-button start.

That opening lineup alone tells you a lot about what this Explorer XLT was built to do. The 3.5L V6 TiVCT engine puts out 290 horsepower, giving this 4WD SUV the kind of confident, all-weather capability that family haulers in this segment need to actually deliver, whether you're commuting through a Sudbury winter or hauling gear out to Espanola or Chelmsford for the weekend. The 6-speed automatic transmission pairs with that V6 to keep things smooth whether you're merging onto the highway or navigating tighter roads around Val Caron and Lively.

Equipment Group 201A adds real day-to-day value here, bundling in features like dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and additional convenience touches that make this XLT trim feel more complete than a base configuration. Add in the voice-activated navigation system and premium audio with 7 speakers, and you've got a cabin that's easy to live with on longer drives, whether that's a road trip or just the daily school run. Fog lamps and privacy glass round out the exterior, adding both visibility in poor conditions and a bit of extra comfort and discretion for rear-seat passengers.

This particular Explorer XLT also comes with a Clean CARFAX and Certified Pre-Owned status, and it was reconditioned by Sudbury Mitsubishi's own service department in September 2026. Beyond the safety certification and brake work up front, our shop also completed an oil and filter change using 0W20 synthetic oil, serviced the calipers alongside the new front and rear pads and rotors, performed a four-wheel alignment, and replaced both the cabin and engine air filters. That's a meaningful list of mechanical attention on a vehicle showing 95,760 km, and it's the kind of work that matters more than a shiny detail job.

Shoppers cross-shopping midsize three-row SUVs often look at the Honda Pilot or Kia Telluride, and this Explorer XLT holds its own in that conversation, offering a strong V6 powertrain, real 4WD capability, and a well-equipped cabin without stretching into a larger, less manageable footprint. The Ingot Silver Metallic exterior is a versatile, clean look that suits the practical nature of this trim well.

If you're in Sudbury, Garson, Val Caron, Lively, Chelmsford, or Espanola and you're looking for a 2018 Ford Explorer XLT with documented recent service work and a Clean CARFAX, this one is worth a look. Contact Sudbury Mitsubishi to book a test drive or ask about availability before it's gone.
